Another Character's Point Of View

Peace One Day Taster Lunch

MY REFLECTION

This is the taster lunch that 3 Year 6 classes did to tolerate each other more and understand why they eat the food that they brought in. Everyone had to bring in a plate of food that was cut into peices so then people can have a little taster of the food.

I brought in chocolate fudge cake because it is a family favourite that my family likes.

This was a really cool activity to do.

Peace Sense Poem

MY REFLECTION
This is my Peace Sense Poem that we learnt how to do in class. We were learning about these poems because we were talking about Peace One Day and about Jeremy Gilley. I worked by myself on this poem. Next time I think I could put more descriptive words in my poem.

Literacy Week

On Monday it was national literacy day. Rm 27 and Rm 22 decided to have buddy reading and make monster bookmarks. My partner was Klowie and she liked my monster book mark and she wanted us to be monster bookmark twins. So I helped her draw the eyes and eyebrows and then she cut them out. 

I enjoyed this activity because I got to meet a new little friend and we got to do something fun.

I hope we do something like this another time.

My score that I got was 38. I need to work on Slowing down and using more eye contact. Maybe Next time I could put more into my conclusion of my speech.

I have liked photography in my class because I have learnt so many techniques about how to take a professional photo. For an example I have learnt Birds eye view which is where you get up height like if a bird is flying and looking down at an object. But my favourite have been the Rule of thirds, Macro and snails view. I have enjoyed this activity

MY REFLECTION

This is my Netball Field Day Certificate. I am proud of myself because I had learnt a new sport and I used to play Netball with no positions. I also had a very fun day, we lost most of our games but it dosen't matter because I had fun. We won 1 of the games. We played 6 games in total. I wish I could do it again.

Bike Skills Certificate

This is my Bike Skills Certificate.

I feel happy and sad because I have enjoyed bike skills, I have learnt alot of skills such as: Scooting, Scoot and Mount, Bike Tapping, Stand up Biking and much more. The sad part is that I won't get to learn more fun stuff. I have also learnt how to put my helmet on properly.

Character Description Opening

MY REFLECTION

I was learning how to describe two characters or two people in the writing style of Hooray For Howard. I did Trinity & Kendra. We had to use brackets, colons and dashes. I found using the brackets hard to use but I enjoyed wring in this style. Next time I could maybe put some more describing words.

Bike Skills

This is a photo of me doing stand up biking at BIke Skills.

I found this easy because I have done this before and I like doing this skill when I am on my bike.

I have enjoyed bike skills and I am sad that next week will be the last week of bike skills.

TERM 1 REFLECTION

I need to practice my 6 times table because I am not that good at them. Hopefully I can practice alot and try to get 95% by the end of Term two. 

TERM 2 REFLECTION

This is my Basic Facts Graph.

I need to work on my 7 times table and my 8 times table to hopefully get 100% by the end of the year. The closest I have got to 100% is 99% my practice has payed off in these tests.I have made a huge difference since my first score was 51 and now I am getting 99% on my tests.

TERM 3 REFLECTION
I need to work on getting 100% and getting my time down to 5:30
I also got to work on my 7 times table
My Goal for Term 4 is to get my time down to 5:20

MY REFLECTION

I was learning to write a persuasive poster. I used a rhetorical question, sub headings, pictures and descriptive words. Next time I think I should think of a better rhetorical question.

This evidence shows my Rangitoto Art.

I found this easy because we had practised all of these paint skills before we had done this.

Next time I could try to not overdue the colours on my card print because I had used green and blue but the it turned green.

Mathletics Fraction Work

MY REFLECTION

I have been learning to understand mixed and improper fractions.

I used my times tables and fraction knowledge to help me find the answer.

Next time I would like to be quicker at answering these and practise these but with bigger numbers.

Tip Top For Schools

Today was the Tip Top for Schools day.

There was approx 13 primary schools and a total of 710 children who gathered at Edgewater College to enjoy a day full of fun games and excitement.

It was alot of fun. We had 8 different activities to participate in.

They were really good Team Building activities.

My favourite was "Sponge Bob"

In this game each team had to stand in a straight line. There was a bucket full of water and 2 sponges. The first person in the line had to pick up the sponge full of water and pass the sponge over their head to the next person. That person had to put it through their legs and so on until the last person in the line had to run down to a bucket and squeeze all of the water in. They then had to run to the front of the line and start all over again.

At the end of the day, everyone got a Big Surprise, all of the participants received a medal and a popsicle.

When I was leaving my fun filled day, a saleswoman gave us some free muffins.

I wish I could go again. I enjoyed myself alot.

This evidence shows my Maths working out.
I found this okay because I use the Maths strategy Trial and Improvement.
Next time I could try using a strategy called ' Working Backwards'

Pupil Of The Week Award

This is my Pupil of the week award.

In my class each week the teacher chooses a student who has been showing the School Value for that week. I felt amazed because I got the certificate the same day I got my badges.

My Badges

Today was an exciting day for me

We had an whole school assembly and I received my badges.

I have been voted/chosen to represent Elm Park School as a school Councillor and  Sports House Captain.

I also received my Digikids badge and my Wet day monitor badge.

I feel privileged to have been given such an honour.

This evidence shows my Number Talks. For this activity we shared different ways of completing the addition calculation.

I found this easy because I was able to use a number of different ways.

Next time I will use decimals and use similar strategies.

I found this easy because I have listened really well and I understood the book.

Next time I can use more detail in my answers.

CAMP MERC

CAMP MERC

2 weeks ago all of the Year 6's went to Camp MERC witch is located in Long Bay.

You might have noticed that I have been posting alot about Camp MERC?

Because I had such an amazing time!

When I arrived Nicky (Riley's Mum) greeted me to Camp MERC and she asked one of the workers if I can climb up a Rock Climbing Wall and I was as fast as Usain Bolt.

Then I did abeseiling as you might have noticed in my posts below

I only did abseiling once but after that I did Surf Kayaking we had to put a wet suit on and had to get a helmet. I did Surf Kayaking with Rlisha- Blue

Camp MERC is so fun I wish I could go again :)
